Want to make the viral AI zombie trend video with your own AI tool? Below are free, ready-to-use zombie love story prompts you can copy and paste into Kling, Veo, Seedance, Hailuo or any other image-to-video model that accepts reference photos.

Don't want to write prompts at all? Our Zombie AI Video generator has these scenes built in. Upload your photos, pick a scene, and get a finished MP4 in about 2 to 5 minutes.

How to use these prompts

  • Image 1 is the survivor (the person holding the weapon). Image 2 is the loved one who has turned into a zombie.
  • If your tool supports multiple reference images (for example Kling's reference or elements mode), upload both photos and keep the "image 1 / image 2" wording.
  • If your tool only takes one starting frame, create a still of the standoff first, then use the prompt to animate it, and generate the memory shot as a second clip.
  • Set the aspect ratio to 9:16 for TikTok and Reels. Use 10 seconds if your tool allows it.
  • Replace anything in square brackets, like [baseball bat], with your own details.

1. Couple: Abandoned Kitchen

Cinematic 9:16 vertical shot. A dim, abandoned kitchen lit by cold blue moonlight, dust in the air, broken cabinets. The person from image 1 stands tense, gripping a [baseball bat], breathing hard. Across the room stands the person from image 2 as a zombie: grey-blue skin, cloudy pale eyes, dark circles, messy hair, torn everyday clothes, no blood. The zombie slowly turns its head toward the camera. The survivor recognizes them, their face breaks, and the bat lowers and drops to the floor. The survivor steps forward and hugs the zombie tightly. After a pause, the zombie's arms slowly rise and hug back. Hard match cut to the same kitchen on a bright morning, warm golden sunlight through the window: both people fully human, laughing and flipping pancakes together. Emotional, tender, not scary. Realistic faces that match the reference photos, shallow depth of field, slow camera push-in.

2. Best friends: Highway Gas Station

Cinematic 9:16 vertical video. A deserted highway gas station at night, flickering fluorescent lights, cold blue tint, an empty road behind. The person from image 1 holds a [crowbar] with both hands, standing between the fuel pumps. The person from image 2 is a zombie shuffling out of the shadows: grey skin, cloudy eyes, torn hoodie, no gore. The zombie turns; the survivor freezes, recognizes their best friend, and slowly lowers the crowbar until it clatters to the ground. They pull the zombie into a hug, and the zombie's arms slowly wrap around them. Match cut to the same gas station on a sunny summer afternoon: both friends human, laughing, sitting on the hood of a car with snacks and sunglasses on a road trip. Warm film grain, nostalgic, heartfelt.

3. Parent and adult child: Snowed-in Cabin

Cinematic 9:16 vertical shot inside a snowed-in wooden cabin, windows covered in frost, cold blue light, breath visible in the air. The adult from image 1 holds a [fireplace poker], hands shaking. In the doorway stands their parent, the adult from image 2, as a zombie: pale grey skin, cloudy eyes, frost in their hair, worn winter sweater, no blood. The zombie slowly turns and looks at them. Recognition. The poker drops into the snow-dusted floor. The adult child walks forward and embraces their parent, and the zombie's arms slowly lift and hold them back. Match cut to a bright winter day outside the same cabin: both of them human, laughing in a snowball fight, cheeks red, snow sparkling in the sun. Gentle, emotional, family moment.

4. Siblings: City Rooftop

Cinematic 9:16 vertical video on a city rooftop at dusk, cold blue light, distant city skyline with a few broken lights, wind moving a loose tarp. The person from image 1 grips a [metal pipe]. Near the edge stands their sibling, the person from image 2, as a zombie: grey skin, cloudy eyes, torn jacket, no gore. The zombie turns slowly toward them. The survivor recognizes their sibling, lowers the pipe, and lets it fall. They step in and hug, and after a beat the zombie hugs back. Match cut to the same rooftop at golden-hour sunset: both siblings human, sitting on a picnic blanket with sodas and fries, laughing at something on a phone. Warm light, soft lens flare, bittersweet.

5. Pet: zombie dog or cat

Cinematic 9:16 vertical shot. A quiet, abandoned living room in cold blue light, curtains moving slightly. The person from image 1 kneels, holding a [baseball bat], wary. From the hallway, the pet from image 2 appears as a gentle zombie [dog]: slightly grey fur, cloudy eyes, a little scruffy, not scary, no blood. The pet tilts its head and its tail starts to wag. The person recognizes them, drops the bat, and opens their arms. The zombie pet runs into their arms and nuzzles into their chest. Match cut to a sunny backyard: the same person and their healthy pet playing fetch on green grass, laughing. Heartwarming, wholesome, emotional.

6. Solo zombie transformation

Cinematic 9:16 vertical portrait video of the person from image 1, waist-up, looking into the camera in soft daylight. The light slowly shifts to a cold blue tone. Their skin gradually turns pale grey, veins faintly darken, eyes cloud over to a milky white, hair becomes messy and dusty, clothes become torn and weathered. No blood, no gore, Halloween makeup style. The face stays clearly recognizable as the same person throughout. They tilt their head slowly and give a small, eerie smile at the end. Smooth continuous transformation, realistic skin detail, shallow depth of field.

7. The memory shot on its own

Use this when your tool can't do a match cut in one clip. Generate it separately and put it at the end of your zombie clip.

Cinematic 9:16 vertical shot. Warm, sunlit memory: the person from image 1 and the person from image 2, both fully human and healthy, laughing together [in a sunny kitchen making pancakes]. Golden hour light, soft film grain, gentle slow motion, slightly overexposed and dreamy like a home video memory. Natural, candid, happy expressions. Faces match the reference photos.

Optional negative prompt

If your model supports a negative prompt, this keeps the zombie look on the "sad Halloween" side rather than horror:

blood, gore, wounds, exposed bone, violence, weapon hitting, screaming, jump scare, distorted face, extra limbs, deformed hands, different person, face swap mismatch, text, watermark, logo

Tips for writing your own zombie prompts

  • Follow the five beats in order: standoff, recognition, weapon down, embrace, match cut. Models follow the order you write things in.
  • Say "no blood" or "no gore" explicitly. Zombie prompts drift into horror fast. "Halloween makeup style" helps.
  • Describe the zombie look precisely: grey or grey-blue skin, cloudy or milky eyes, messy hair, torn clothes.
  • Make the hug-back its own sentence. "After a pause, the zombie's arms slowly rise and hug back" works much better than "they hug".
  • Contrast the light. Cold blue for the zombie scene, warm golden sunlight for the memory. That contrast does most of the emotional work.
  • Anchor the faces. Phrases like "faces match the reference photos" and "clearly recognizable as the same person" reduce identity drift.
  • Keep it to one location. The memory should happen in the same place on a better day. That's what makes the match cut land.
  • Use clear, front-facing, waist-up photos with one person in each.

Skip the prompt

Writing prompts, keeping two faces consistent and stitching the memory shot together takes time. Zombie AI Video does all of it for you:

  • Love Story mode (2 photos) or Transformation mode (1 photo)
  • Four ready-made scenes, each with its own memory: Abandoned Kitchen, Snowed-in Cabin, Highway Gas Station and City Rooftop
  • 5 or 10 seconds, in 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1
  • Rendered with Kling O1 reference-to-video in about 2 to 5 minutes
  • MP4 download with no watermark, and free credits when you sign up
